Bhubaneswar: Body of a security guard with throat slit was found inside the kitchen room of a marble trading outlet near Pahala area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar today. The deceased has been identified as Gadadhar Swain a resident of nearby Usuma village. He was working as a security guard at the private marble trading outlet for the last two and a half years.

According to family sources, Swain had left for his duty at 5PM yesterday and did not return home till 8AM today, following which family members and relatives went to search for him.

After Swain's body was discovered lying in a pool of blood, angry locals vandalized the outlet and staged a road blockade demanding arrest of the accused and compensation for the family of the deceased. Family members alleged that, Swain has been murdered.

"They brutally murdered my brother. My brother doesn't have enmity with anyone. We have no clue who is involved," said Swain's Brother.

"The manager of the company did not inform us about the matter" said Swain's son.

On being informed, police reached the spot and have started an investigation.

"We have seized a knife and a towel from the spot. We will examine the evidences and will try to find out the reason behind the death. We are interrogating the employees who were on duty last night," said Bhubaneswar DCP, Anup Sahoo.
