Body of security guard with gunshot wounds found in Deogarh

Deogarh: A security guard was found dead with gunshot wounds in his house barely a few metres from the Superintendent of Police (SP)'s residence in Deogarh district. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Balua.

Locals spotted the body of Rajendra in his house and informed the police. It is suspected that Rajendra has been murdered by his elder brother Sachitananda Balua as there was an altercation between the brothers yesterday, sources said.

A police team along with Deogarh SP reached the spot and has launched an investigation into the incident.  Mobile phone of Sachitananda, who is reportedly absconding after the incident, has been seized from the spot.

"We have called the scientific team for help and investigation is underway. We are suspecting Sachitananda's involvement in the murder and efforts are on to trace him," said Deogarh SP Anupama James.
