Bhubaneswar: A dhaba owner was critically injured after two miscreants opened fire at him Thursday night near Kalinga Studio in Khandagiri area allegedly for delay in serving ‘chicken pakoras’.

Critical, the dhaba owner identified as Milu was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, the incident occurred at around 10:30 pm last night after the two miscreants sat inside the dhaba and ordered 'chicken pakoras'. After waiting for some time, when they asked Milu to serve it immediately, an altercation ensued between them.

In a fit of rage, the two fired gun shots at Milu and fled the spot to a nearby forest, sources said.

On getting information, police rushed to the spot and launched a manhunt in the forest. “The two assailants will be nabbed soon. Further investigation into the incident is on,” said a police official.
