Nuapada: A man allegedly hacked his eight-year-old daughter to death at Kotamal village under Khariar police limits in Nuapada district on Friday.

The accused, who is yet to be identified, reportedly attacked the minor girl with a kitchen knife over some unknown reason.

The minor girl’s uncle lodged a complaint with the local police in this regard. Based on the complaint, a police team visited the spot and seized the body.

While the exact motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, the accused is still at large.
