The district Legal services authority (DLSA) has initiated a probe into the reports of multiple bodies being cremated on one pyre at the Bijakhanan cremation ground due to shortage of space.

India on Saturday logged 1,20,529 new Covid infections in 24 hours, the lowest since April 7. During the same time span, 3,380 more people succumbed to the pandemic, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said.

The Covid-19 single-day cases continue to dip in Odisha with the State recording 7,395 new cases on Saturday. With this, the positive tally in the State surged to 8,06,094, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department
