Coronavirus Live Updates: 3 IAS Officers Deputed To Ganjam To Manage COVID-19 Situation In The District

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] In the wake of Ganjam jumping to the first position amongst districts that were hit by Coronavirus in Odisha, the Odisha government on Friday deputed three IAS officers to help the administration manage COVID19 programme in the district for a period of one month. They are P Anwesha Reddy, the Managing Director of Odisha Mining Corporation, Patil Ashis Ishwar, Managing Director Of GRIDCO and Hemakanta Sai, Managing Director Of OTDC.

Earlier, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha had risen to 271 with the detection of 25 new positive cases today, informed the State Health and Family Welfare Department. Ganjam reported 24 fresh cases taking the number of COVID-19 positives in the district to 71, while Khurda reported one case. One person from Rourkela in Sundergarh district has recovered and tested negative for the virus today, informed State Health & Family Welfare Department. With this, the total recoveries in Odisha rose to 63.
