In a message to aspirants, Animesh asserted that there is no substitute for hard work, though luck is said to be a factor to some extent. 

Aditya Srivastava, originally from Lucknow, secured the top position in the 2023 Civil Services Examinations. Announced by UPSC, he alongside Animesh Pradhan and Ananya Reddy led the ranks. A former student of IIT Kanpur, Aditya was also a gold medalist and excelled in various national competitions.

Rashmi said that those aspiring for the civil services need some guidance. She suggested, “Nowadays, we have enough resources like online coaching, guidance and mock tests. They should take online guidance while preparing for the civil services.”

Pradhan was ranked 231 in the 2022 UPSC exams. The 2023 exam was her third attempt which catapulted her to 36th rank. As per preliminary reports, as many as 26 candidates from Odisha have cracked the Civil Services Examinations this time.
