Rohit Sharma is considered as one of the greatest batsman in white ball format. His tactical acumen in ODI and T20Is is also quiet commendable. On the other hand legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also known as one of the greatest captains of India.
Rohit recently guided the Men in Blue to their second T20 World Cup title with a win over South Africa in the final at Barbados. Rohit has overtaken former skipper Dhoni as the most successful T20I captain with 49 wins in 62 matches. Dhoni had led India to 41 victories in 72 games.
Meanwhile, former India head coach Ravi Shastri has given verdict about the difference in captaincy of Rohit and Dhoni.
“As a tactician, let’s not forget that Rohit has been an outstanding guy. He’ll go down as one of the best captains ever alongside Dhoni,” said Shastri on the ICC Review.
“If you ask me who is better, I’d say both are on par when it comes to tactics in the white-ball game. I can’t pay a bigger compliment to Rohit than that because you know what MS Dhoni has done and the titles he has won. Rohit is not far behind and I thought tactically he was just outstanding in this year’s T20 World Cup,” he added.
