SUV Coupe Mercedes Benz GLE 450 AMG launched

Mumbai: Leading luxury car maker Mercedes Benz India on Tuesday launched its first-ever sports utility vehicle (SUV) Coupe Mercedes Benz GLE 450 AMG in India.

"We are glad to kick-start 2016 by introducing a thrilling and powerful product from our global portfolio, the GLE 450 AMG Coupe," said Mercedes Benz India MD and CEO Roland Folger in a statement.

Priced at Rs.86.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), GLE 450 AMG is powered by 3-litre V6 bi-turbo engine.

Boasting five AMG dynamic select transmission modes - Individual, Comfort, Slippery, Sport, and SportPlus - the Coupe can accelerate from 0-100 kilometre per hour in 5.7 seconds, the statement said.

Adaptive air bags and pre-safe system, crosswind assist and attention assist, adaptive high beam assist plus and adaptive brake lights are the some of the safety and assistance systems in GLE 450 AMG, the statement added.
