Panaji: Speak Asia, India`s largest integrated market research agency, is eyeing an increase in its base of panelists from the existing 1.5 million to nearly 10 million by December 2011, a senior official said today.

"During our one year of operations, we have entered into each and every state of India, virtually. Now we will also make our physical presence in those states," Vivek Gautam, Chief Marketing Officer, Speak Asia told PTI.

He said the offices will be in place by end of current financial year, injecting a major growth in the company`s profile of panelists.

"By December, we wants to take have 10 million panelists on board," Gautam said.

The Speak Asia`s three-day-long event `GenX Bazaar 2011` which began at Baga in Goa yesterday has 10,000 panelists and 60 vendors from different brands participating in it.

The company officials said that total business worth Rs 220 crore would be transacted during the event, which is being held for the first time.

Speak Asia, the firm headquartered at Singapore, will be completing one year of its existence on May 10.

Gautam said the company is into market research and surveys and has been working with the reputed clienteles in the Asian region.

The panelists, who are offered an opportunity to earn sitting at home by being the part of weekly surveys, has been earning sizeable income, he said adding that for the March month itself, the panelists earned Rs 22 crore.

Gautam said that of the total panelists, 80 per cent are males, 75 per cent are employed, 34 per cent belong to age group of 25 to 35 years and maximum are from Hindi speaking belt of the country.

The company officials said that GenX Bazaar 2011 has provided opportunity for the panelists to spend through their e-wallet.

"There are some companies which are offering discount upto 70 per cent," said Gautam.
