Sensex rebounds by 180 pts on firm Asian cues
The 30-share BSE index, which has lost almost 665 points over the previous two sessions, rose by 180.04 points, or 1.09 per cent, to 16,681.78 in the first five minutes of trade this morning.

In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty Index moved up by 47.90 points, or 0.97 per cent, to 4,994.70.
Brokers said the trading sentiment improved on the back of a firming trend in the Asian region following overnight gains in the US market, coupled with easing concerns about the euro zone`s debt woes.
In the Asian region, Japan`s Nikkei Index rose by 0.31 per cent in morning trade today, while the Hong Kong stock market was closed in observance of a public holiday. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.63 per cent higher in yesterday`s session.
