Shah Rukh Khan felt like '4th Idiot' for rejecting THIS movie! Kajol wanted to change 'whole story'

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest Bollywood superstars, with a huge fandom sprawling across the globe. Fans are well aware of SRK's initial struggles. He defied all odds, broke the stereotypes and achieved success with his dedication and hard work. Earlier SRK was cast in movies rejected by several big stars and those movies helped him to cement his place in the industry. However, did you know SRK rejected a movie that later went on to become a blockbuster and scripted history?

Earlier, during his appearance on Koffee With Karan, the King actor expressed his regret for turning down the offer. He humorously said that he would have been the fourth "Idiot" in 3 Idiots. Further, he added that he feels like the fourth Idiot for not taking up the opportunity.

Well, fans are well aware that Bollywood Baadshah was Rajkumar Hirani's first choice for Munna Bhai MBBS. However, after he turned down the offer, the role was offered to Sanjay Dutt, and as they say, 'the rest is history.' And, after rejecting twice, SRK teamed up with Hirani for Dunki.

Kajol wanted to play THIS role in 3 Idiots and not Kareena Kapoor Khan's role

Kareena Kapoor Khan played the female lead in 3 Idiots. However, before signing Bebo, Hirani wanted to cast Kajol in the role. But, the Dilwale actress wanted to play R Madhavan's character in the movie.

Earlier, when Kajol graced the popular talk show hosted by Rajat Sharma, Aap Ki Adalat, she said "Maine actually unko bola tha ki mujhe Madhavan ka role de do, main kar lungi. Lekin unhone bola ki nahi. Aapko wahi role milne wala hai heroine ka."

Further, the actress added, "Maine bola dekho, out of 3 Idiots, one of them can be a girl (I explained to them that out of the 3 Idiots, one can be a girl).’ Then, he said No!"

Well, Kajol probably wanted to change the 'whole story' of 3 Idiots.

If SRK and Kajol wouldn't have rejected the offer, moviegoers could have got another movie with the most-loved on-screen couple in the lead. And if Hirani would have changed the plot as per Kajol's request, moviegoers can just imagine what the results would have been.
