Hinduja Group to set up boutique hospitals

"After serving Mumbai through our PD Hinduja National Hospital for 60 years, we have started with our first Hinduja Healthcare Surgical--a boutique corporate healthcare hospital with 106 beds in Mumbai suburb of Khar," Ashok P Hinduja, Chairman of Hinduja Group India told PTI.

Hinduja said the group will build 5-6 more speciality hospitals having 100-200 beds across Mumbai followed by Bangalore and Hyderabad. "Our future plans include setting up boutique hospitals across the country," he said. Hinduja said several foreign investors have shown keen interest in the company`s health sector foray. "For the Group, Hinduja Healthcare is a significant diversification into the high-potential services sector of corporate hospitals," Hinduja said.

Hinduja Healthcare will be personalised quality healthcare hospitals, with world-class technology. Our multiple specialities include general surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, gynaecology, paediatric surgery and plastic surgery, Hinduja Healthcare Medical Director Vinod Chandiramani said. The focus across all facilities is to personalise the experience for the patient, from appointments and admission, to diagnosis, treatment and smooth checkouts, he said.

"Some of our star features include individual IPD and OPD spaces, 200 consulting doctors, a cath lab, a state-of-the art emergency area, dedicated floor to mother and child care, 5 fully equipped operation theaters, consulting rooms, physiotherapy and pre and post treatment," Chandiramani said speaking about the Khar facility.
