New Delhi: Both gold and silver recovered in the bullion market here on Saturday on buying support by stockists at existing low levels. While gold recovered by Rs 25 (USD 0.47) to Rs 28,810 per 10 grams, silver gained Rs 250 to Rs 53,750 per kg. Traders said emergence of buying at prevailing lower levels mainly helped both gold and silver prices to recover.

In the national capital, gold of 99.9 and 99.5 per cent purity recovered by Rs 25 each to Rs 28,810 and Rs 28,670 per 10 grams, respectively. The metal had lost Rs 155 on Friday. Sovereigns remained steady at Rs 23,700 per piece of eight grams on limited deals.

In line with a general firming trend, silver ready rebounded by Rs 250 to Rs 53,750 per kg, while weekly-based delivery held steady at Rs 54,140 per kg on scattered deals. Silver coins rose by Rs 1,000 to Rs 62,000 for buying and Rs 63,000 for selling of 100 pieces on local customers buying.
