As per its winter schedule, Air India Express will operate 32 weekly flights from the Abu Dhabi International Airport to seven destinations in India, the statement said. Due to the increased demand for flights to and from the Indian sub-continent, Air India Express is constantly augmenting the frequency of its flights and expanding its service offerings to passengers from the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Earlier in 2011, Air India Express increased flight frequencies on two of its routes from Abu Dhabi- Managalore and Amritsar-to service high demand. Harjeet Sawhney, the Manager of Air India Express in Abu Dhabi, said the new flight reflects the airline`s commitment to provide convenient services to passengers.
"The level of services offered to us by ADAC helps us to continuously enhance our portfolio of services in the increasingly rising demand in the Abu Dhabi market," he said.
Eng. Ahmed Al Haddabi, the Chief Operating Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), said: "We are glad to see that our airline partners are keen to develop their services from the capital`s airport, as it will offer more choices to our passengers and ultimately support ADAC`s strategy to become one of the leading airports in the world."
