AAI role lauded by Civil Aviation Minister
New Delhi: The activities of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) came in for praise from Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh for providing top-of-the-class airports and air navigation services across the country.
"The AAI is one of the very key organisations of the country and has been playing a vital role in providing efficient air transportation. AAI`s contributions have helped in increasing the potential of our country," Singh said at a function to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the state-run airports body here.
Singh said the AAI was providing most modern facilities at various airports which it was upgrading across the country. The Minister was accompanied by noted film maker Muzaffar Ali and Femina Miss India Earth Hasleen Kaur.
AAI Chairman V P Aggarwal elaborated on the various steps being undertaken by the organisation at airports in various parts of the country. A detailed presentation was also made on the occasion. During the event, awards were given away to employees and officials from various parts of the country for their achievements in various fields.
