Baripada: A woman was injured in an alleged arrow attack over a property dispute at Kuradhik village under Baisinga police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday.
According to sources, the woman Anabati Mahant had a quarrel with her brother-in-law Sambhunath Mahant over a property dispute. Enraged over it Sambhunath got a bow and arrow from his house and fired an arrow at Anabati which entered right side of her chest.
Anabati was rescued by the villagers and first admitted to Betnoti and later shifted to Baripada hospital. The accused Sambhunath is absconding after the incident.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered by Baisinga police and investigation is on.
