Miscreants decamp with Rs 9.5 lakh in Nuapada

Nuapada: Three motorcycle-borne miscreants looted Rs 9.5 lakh from a contractor in front of a State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Nuapada district on Friday.

The incident occurred minutes after Kaustuv, the contractor had withdrawn the cash from the bank at around 11:30 AM and left it inside his car before going to a nearby shop.

According to sources, the miscreants came in a bike and looted the cash after breaking the window panes of the car. Surprisingly, the miscreants managed to escape easily from the spot.

Senior police officials said, the miscreants have been identified from CCTV camera footage and a manhunt has been launched to nab them.
