Body of couple recovered near house in Salepur

Cuttack: A couple was found dead under mysterious circumstances outside their house in Dularpur village under Mahanga police limits of Salepur here on Thursday. Mahanga police is investigating the incident.

The deceased, identified as Parsuram Jena and his wife Kuni Jena are survived by two children.

According to police sources, the incident is suspected to have happened late last night but the bodies were found in the morning. Police further informed that there were no injury marks on the duo's body though a steel container with some liquid was found near them.

However, the exact cause of the incident has not been ascertained yet. The children of the deceased also could not be contacted, sources added.

"We have recovered the bodies. Investigation is being carried out to get some details from local people. The bodies will be sent for post mortem. We can ascertain the reason of death only after the post-mortem. Further investigation is on," said a police official.
