To commemorate this milestone occasion in the nation's history, the government has also announced the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to hoist 200 million tricolours at all households in the country during 13-15 August. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the Tricolour from the ramparts of the iconic Red Fort in Delhi to kick off the jubilations. Similarly, in the state-level function, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will lead the celebrations from Bhubaneswar.
