Amlan Nanda, a third year computer science engineering student of Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology (SUIIT) became the first recipient of Arindam Das Memorial Scholarship. Amlan's father, Pratap Nanda was handed over a cheque covering his course fee at OTV's head office in Bhubaneswar for his annual course fee and hostel fee.
The scholarship was instituted by OTV in memory of its late journalist Arindam Das who lost his life while covering the rescue operation of an elephant stuck in Mahanadi river at Mundali barrage last year.
The varsity authorities confirmed that the question paper of educational management and leadership subject that went viral in the morning matched the original question paper.
