SP Mukesh Bhamoo said, "The accused had technical knowledge about bomb-making. He used a bicycle in the crime. We have seized his bicycle and cell phone. The phone will be sent to the forensic lab for data recovery. The incident was the outcome of personal rivalry.”

As per reports, two miscreants hurled a bomb from a flyover in the area. However, the reason behind the bombing was not ascertained immediately. Following the incident, tension prevailed in the area and a large crowd gathered near the spot. 

Police have seized 16,000 bottles of cough syrup which were being transported in a truck and an SUV in Sambalpur. Police rounded up 26 people who were smuggling the stuff. Besides, 12 cell phones and some cash have been seized from them.

Majhi filed a complaint at the district consumer court following which the court ordered the restaurant to pay Rs 30,000 as compensation to the complainant for the ‘overcharge’ and also ordered to pay him Rs 10,000 towards court charges.

As per reports, these accidents took place in the evening. A student of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) and another youth died after their bike and a scooter had a collision in front of the university. Two others were critically injured in the accident.

The Rairakhole police received intelligence inputs about ganja smuggling in an SUV. A team of police officials started chasing the SUV coming from the Kadaligad side. After a long chase, the two ganja traders managed to drive the vehicle into Bhima Bhoi Adikand Market complex and abandoned the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Naktideul police started an investigation into the incident by detaining the lecturer following a written complaint by the victim.
