In a matter of pride, Odisha’s tableau that rolled down the Kartavya Path during Republic Day parade in Delhi has been adjudged the best among the tableaux of all states/UTs. This year, the Odisha tableau featured a model of the heritage crafts village of Raghurajpur with message on women empowerment.

The tableau showcased the wonderful craftsmanship and artistry through Raghurajpur pattachitra and handicrafts. Moreover, it highlighted women empowerment in rural areas through cottage industries.

As India celebrated its 75th Republic Day, Ayushmann Khurrana attended the grand celebrations and shared the video on his Instagram handle with a nostalgic caption. 

While the contingents were marching ahead and tableaux of different states and organisations were trundling down the Kartavya Path in Delhi on the 75th Republic Day on Friday, two women representing Odisha made the state proud.

On the occasion of the 75th Republic Day, as many as 37 Odisha police personnel were felicitated with police medals. 

The most eagerly awaited part of the Republic Day Parade on Friday was ‘The Flypast’ -- a breathtaking airshow by 54 aircraft and helicopters.

BSF’s strategic deployment in Odisha started in 2010 in the Naxal-affected areas of Koraput and Malkangiri districts. Later, its deployment was extended to Nabarangpur and Rayagada districts in 2013.

The tableau of Odisha showcased women empowerment in the state as well as its rich handicraft and handloom sector at the Republic Day parade here on Friday.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday watched India's 75th Republic Day celebrations at the majestic Kartavya Path, joining a select group of global leaders to have graced the nation's biggest ceremonial in the last seven decades.
