In a letter to CBSE chairperson Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi on Friday, commissioner-cum-secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education, Sanjay Kumar Singh has said as for the first time, the validation of Aadhaar number is made mandatory for the JEE Main candidates, it is observed that this year online registration is very poor compared to the previous years. As compared to the last year where 49,000 students had registered for this examination, this year only 18,873 candidates have registered till date
“In view of the above, the last date of submission of application form is required to be extended to facilitate enrollment of the candidates for Aadhaar so that along with the candidates who will get their Aadhaar number, others who had previously enrolled under Aadhaar, but need corrections, can also get time to rectify their database. As a result, more number of candidates will be able to register for the JEE Main,” Singh pointed out.
Asked about the allegations made by the students before the media that the district administrations are not cooperating in providing Aadhaar card to them and whether his department will monitor this case, Singh said the Aadhaar registration is being monitored at the top level by the chief secretary who had a review meeting on this issue today.
“Besides, we all are trying to ensure that the students will have their Aadhaar registration without any hassles. There has been much progress in this matter. We are now planning to set up Aadhaar camps in schools so that the number of Aadhaar registration of the students can be increased substantially,” he noted.
“Through this online facility, patients will not have to wait in queues anymore. Moreover it will give patients an idea about the availability of a particular doctor,” said Dr. Ashok Mohapatra, Director of Bhubaneswar AIIMS.
Moreover, like their counterparts in Delhi, AIIMS authorities here have also decided to start Post Graduation (PG) across eight departments with two seats in each. From July 2016, PG courses will be started in Anatomy, Bio Chemistry, Psychology, Pathology, Micro Biology, Community Medicine and Pharmacology, among others.
“As per our new plans, we will be starting PG courses from July 2016. Moreover, we are hopeful that the number of our faculty members will also increase in the next one month,” said Mohapatra.
On the other hand, with appointments of 90 more doctors, treatment will soon start at 10 new departments, added sources.
The rally, in which all categories of soldiers will be recruited, will be held at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Reasi district's Talwara, he said.
Eligible candidates from Udhampur, Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi districts can take part, he said.
"Online registration is mandatory and it has begun from July 3. It will go on till August 16 at the Indian Army website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in," the spokesman said.
Admit cards for the rally will be sent through registered the e-mail address, the official said.

Online registration is mandatory for the farmers in their nearest PACS, LAMPCS, WSHG and Pani Panchayats to sell their Kharif and Rabi season's paddy harvest. Farmers will have to give information on their harvest and bank details in this process, the letter says.
Procurement process will start from the first week of November and continue till March 31, 2021 during which farmers can sell their 2019-20 Kharif harvest and 2019 Rabi harvest, it added.
As per the letter, online registration is mandatory for farmers across the whole State which were initiated for the first time from 2014-15. "It is a mandatory process which requires every farmer who is willing to deliver surplus paddy at MSP to government to register with the nearest authorized societies." the notice reads.
Societies digitize the information submitted by farmers regarding their personal/ land/ bank details and upload these data on the website of the department, www.foododisha in, through the web-based farmer registration software application.
As a result, before the start of every procurement season (Kharif /Rabi) each society is ready with a list of farmers along with their marketable surplus to commence procurement operations.
Notably, the yield rate of paddy is fixed every year for Kharif/ Rabi season with approval of government. This helps in making advance planning to manage procurement operations for paddy for each crop season.
