The CGM said NABARD has sanctioned financial assistance of Rs 840 crore for 9 mega piped water supply projects aimed at providing safe drinking water at doorstep to about 17 lakh rural population in Odisha.

These infrastructure projects will play a key role in supporting the rural economy by improving the livelihoods of people, the CGM said.

The credit project for the year 2022-23 is 21.61 per cent higher than the previous year's Rs 1,10,735 crore. This was known from the NABARD's State Focus Paper for Odisha for the year 2022-23 released here on Tuesday.
