As the last date for admissions into +2 courses near, there is an urgency seen among students to obtain their Matric certificates. However, amid the urgency some surprising visuals emerged from Kandhamal and Balasore where students were seen receiving their matric certificates on roads. Teachers in Maa Bhairavi school under Kandhamal’s Tudibandha block and Balasore’s Bhogarai were seen distributing matric certificates on road.
As it turns out, the teachers were forced to distribute certificates beside National Highway – 59 because parents of the students had locked the school protesting demand of money against certificates by then Head Mistress of the school.
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has asked authorities of all high schools in the State to take steps for correction of mistakes in the original pass certificates issued by the Board.
