In a latest development to the ongoing marital discord between BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty and Varsha Priyadarshini, the actress on Tuesday informed the Cuttack District Judge Court that she will vacate her in-laws’ house within a month.

Several such incidents have emerged recently in which women/brides have fought against the injustice of their in-laws and have staged protests against them. Questions have been raised if delays in serving justice are the prime reason behind such incidents or if it is police inaction that is forcing women to take a stand and fight for justice.

All eyes were on the court decision after the 7-day stay of Tapaswini and Sumit at Aska guest house ended on Thursday. Hearing the Berhampur marital discord case, the SDJM Court has directed Sumit Sahu and his wife Tapaswini Das to stay together for another week in a rented accommodation.

Tapaswini Dash aka Dimple’s fight for justice continues. Post marital dispute with legally wedded husband Sumit Sahu, Dimple’s dharna outside in-laws’ house in Berhampur entered ninth day on Tuesday. The case is still pending with the SDJM Court. In its earlier hearing, the Court had reportedly asked Tapaswini to stay at Sakhi Centre till further notice.

The high drama following the marital dispute between Tapaswini Das and Sumit Sahu in Berhampur seems to be never ending. Tapaswini has been staging a dharna outside Sumit’s house for the last 5 days, and seeing this, members of several social organizations on Thursday (Nov 25) reached Berhampur to lend their support to her.
