"Our target is clear: Working towards initial exports of Canadian hydrogen to Germany by 2025," Trudeau said. "Our outcomes are clear as well: Creating middle class jobs and local growth while delivering clear energy that will help fight climate change."
The Prime Minister also said Canada will impose new sanctions on 40 Russian individuals and five entities in connection with the Kremlin and Russia's defence sector.
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said later in his virtual press conference that he's not concerned if his party gets credit for enacting these programmes and that his party is simply "using our power to get help to people."
Trudeau secured victory in parliamentary elections but failed to get the majority he wanted. He, however, leads a strong minority government that won't be toppled by the opposition anytime soon.
