Educational Qualification
The minimum qualification to apply for the posts is a Degree in any discipline from a recognized.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit to apply for the positions is 28 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST is 05 years while for OBC, it is 03 years.

The selection of the candidates will be done through two stages of examination. Through Preliminary examination followed by Main examination aspirants will be selected.

Exam Dates

Reward yourself
Set a target to complete and set sub-targets to help you achieve that target. Assign a particular time of your day to revise your chapters and reward yourself after achieving each one. Rewarding yourself will keep you motivated and achieve more.
List down subjects for revision
Now with just a few days left for the IBPS Clerk Prelims, list down the subjects you need to revise. This will help you de-clutter the vast syllabus and help you focus on one subject at a time without feeling overworked.
Practice regularly
To master anything, you read or practice and to retain it in the memory, you need to practice regularly and be consistent with it. Take up two-three mocks tests. Read newspapers, magazines everyday for English and practice solving as many math and logical reasoning problems as possible for Quant and Reasoning.

Do a recce of your test centre
If you have not downloaded the hall ticket, do it now to avoid any last minute hassles. Do a recce of the exam centre location and route well before time. It will help you analyse total time including traffic to visit your centre.
The online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and main, tentatively scheduled for December 2017 and January 2018 respectively. Interested candidates need to apply for the examination to fill up more than 7,880 vacant posts.
The candidates will be eligible to appear in the main only after clearing the preliminary examination. After clearing the main exam, they will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks.
Breaking Now: SSC CGL Examination 2017 Tier-I answer key released
The preliminary examination will be of one-hour duration. There will be three sections for 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates need to secure the cut-off marks set by IBPS in each of the three sections to qualify it.
Candidates have to register online on the official website of IBPS to appear for the preliminary examination. The registration starts on September 12 and will continue till October 3, 2017. Tentative dates of the preliminary examination are December 2, 3, 9 and 10 and the results are to be declared in the same month. The main examination will be held on January 21, 2018 and provisional allotment of successful candidates will be made in April 2018 tentatively.
The main examination will be of two hours and 40 minutes with four sections carrying a total of 200 marks for 190 questions.
There is a provision of negative marking for wrong answers. While one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks in objective tests in both the examinations will be deducted for each wrong answer, unanswered questions do not attract this penalty.

The PET call letter has been released on the official website –www.ibps.in. The call letter for Office Assistant posts and Officer Scale I posts have been released separately.
The Regional Rural Banks conduct the PET training for a limited number of candidates belonging to reserved categories for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and that of Officer Scale-I.
The candidates will be hired for the Grade B posts of office assistants and Officer Scale-I for the Regional Rural Bank (RRB).
