Odisha government's ban on the sale and use of firecrackers as part of measures to curb the spread of coronavirus has left thousands of traders in dire straits. 

In a letter to four Chief Ministers including his counterpart from Odisha, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin requested them to allow the sale of firecrackers, which fall under the norms set by the Supreme Court and the National Green Tribunal (NGT), in their respective states during this Diwali.
