Dilip Kumar's body was kept at his Bandra home a few hours for people to pay their last respects even as huge crowds assembled outside to catch a glimpse of the legendary star before his final journey.

He had the warrior blood of his fierce ancestors of the North-West Frontier Province raging in him. And an indomitable spirit. But life was not the script of one of his successful Hindi films with a happy ending. 

Tributes flooded the social media with personalities from all sectors be it sports to politics and cine fraternity to the common man, have all come forward to pay the last tributes to the iconic actor.  

Dilip Kumar, who passed away on Wednesday in Mumbai at the age of 98, was always the benchmark. He had a direct impact on many actors who worked in his time, from the forties to the nineties.

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been hospitalised after he complained of breathlessness. The 98-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai's PD Hinduja hospital in the suburbs on Sunday (June 6) morning.
