A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday met Odisha Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) accusing the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) of distributing money to voters under the guise of meeting of SHG groups as part of its strategies to woo voters ahead of Dhamnagar bypoll.

The disappointed members of the BCJD threatened that they would stage an agitation in front of Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar if steps to dismantle the committee are not taken at the earliest. 

“If the party has taken the stand on giving importance to younger generations, what will be our requirement? If the party progresses with this perspective, it will ensure our victory in 2024 general election,” observed the legislator.
