As per reports, the Seventh Pay Commission will be the last pay commission recommending salary revision of employees and there might be no new Pay Commission thereafter. 

The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a hike of 3 percent in the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief for the central government employees and pensioners resectively. The raised DA and DR will be effective retrospectively from January 2022.
