Hyderabad: Former India Test cricketer and BCCI Vice President N Shivlal Yadav has been appointed as the manager of the Indian cricket team for its upcoming Test series against Australia `Down Under`.

"We are happy to inform that N Shivlal Yadav, vice president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and BCCI, has been appointed as manager of the Indian team for the Test series in Australia during December 2011 January 2012," HCA said in a release here.

India is scheduled to play four Tests beginning December 26 at Melbourne, besides a triangular one-day tournament, also involving Sri Lanka, in Australia.
