Jaipur: Fine unbeaten century by SB Gohil and an aggressive half-century knock by his opening partner PK Panchal has put Gujarat in driver’s seat against Odisha on the third day of the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal at Sawai Mansingh stadium here today.

After bundling out Odisha for 199 in their first innings in reply to their 263, Gujarat made solid start in their second innings as the two openers put up 149 runs for the first wicket. After the departure of Panchal who scored 81 off 116 balls, BH Merai and RH Bhatt got out quickly. But Gohil batted all through the day and remained not out on 110.

At stumps, Gujarat were 246 for the loss of three wickets with an overall lead of 310 runs including the first innings lead of 64 runs over Odisha.
