Manas Sahoo congratulates U-19 Indian cricket team through sand art at Puri beach

Puri: International sand animator and sculptor Manas Sahoo congratulated the Under-19 Indian cricket team for winning the world cup held in New Zealand.

In appreciation, Sahoo created a sand art with tricolour and a message 'Congratulation to Junior Indian Cricket Team'. Reportedly, Sahoo took nearly three hours to build the 10-ft long sculpture.

"We congratulate the junior Indian cricket team as Under-19 players scripted history by winning the world cup. We have created the art, using 10 tonne sand at Light House beach," Sahoo said.

Sahoo has also set up country's first sand art park in Puri.

India on Saturday lifted a record fourth U-19 World Cup trophy after an eight-wicket rout of Australia in the final at Mount Maunganui in New Zealand.
