Shillong: Strengthening the team ahead of the I-League, North East football giant, Shillong Lajong FC has signing on yet another Nigerian footballer Ebi Sukore who last played for Mumbai FC, club officials said here today.

The 29-year-old midfielder will be donning the Lajong jersey for this year's Federation Cup and I-League for an un-disclosed fee, the officials said.

Sukore played for Indonesian clubs like Persik Kediri, Semen Padang, PSIS Semaraang, Persis Solo before moving to Mumbai FC last season.

SLFC Head Coach, Desmond Bulpin expressed happiness to have signed Ebi Sukore, known for playing an attacking game in the midfield and at the opponent?s goals.

"He has a good scoring record in midfield and a reputation of being a good player," Bulpin said.

Earlier, the team had signed Mumbai FC Nigerian striker Gbenebe Friday. "We expect both of them to perform well this season," Lajong secretary Larsing M Sawyang said.
