St Lucia: India defeated West Indies by 237 runs in the third Test at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium here on Saturday to take 2-0 lead in the four-match series.

Set a victory target of 346 runs, the West Indies were bundled out for a mere 108 runs in the second innings.

Darren Bravo was the only batsman among the host who put up some resistance with a fighting 59. But he quickly ran out partners and was eventually dismissed by Indian pacer Mohammed Shami which left the West Indies struggling at 95/8.

Shami was the most successful among the Indian bowlers with figures of 3/15. Fellow fast bowler Ishant (2/30) and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja (2/20) also bowled well.

Earlier on Saturday, the Indians had declared their second innings at 217/7.
