Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Hockey World League (HWL) Final matches at Kalinga Stadium here in December, a three-member team of experts on Tuesday conducted a field study.

The team examined the pitch of the hockey field on basis of five parameters and stated that they would submit a report to the Federation of International Hockey about the stadium.

Symond Clarie, a member of the expert team, said, "The report will be submitted after a study of the pitch performance and its impact on players."

The HWL matches will take place from December 1 to 5. On the opening day, Germany will play against England whereas the second match would be played between India and Australia.

Eight teams, in two groups, will play three matches each during the league stage over six days before the finals.
