Cuttack: The inaugural match of Hero Federation Cup football tournament, held at Barabati Stadium here today, between East Bengal and Churchill Brothers ended in a 1-1 draw with one point secured by each team respectively.

Odia footballer of Churchill Brothers, Pankaj Sona was also seen playing the match. Entering into the field as extra player, Pankaj with his extraordinary performance had created chance of a goal for his team at 51 minutes of the match but was unsuccessful.

The second match of the day went in favour of Aizawl Football Club. It defeated Chennai City Football Club with 3-2 lead.

It may be mentioned that eight selected teams of the country are participating in the tournament and football enthusiasts of Odisha will be able to see more of their favourite players in action live on the field.
