Cuttack: The Barabati stadium here is all set to welcome the two Asian cricket power- India and Sri Lanka- for the first match of five-match series between the two nations.

Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) and Commissionerate of police have jointly made all arrangements to ensure a smooth match. Especially, traffic and security arrangements have been given top priorities.

The entire stadium has been kept under three tier security system. As many as 60 platoons of police along with 200 officers have been pressed into service, DGP Sanjib Marik said after examining the security system in the ground.

The OCA is prepared to felicitate Suresh Raina who is all set to play 200th ODI match of his carrier here today.

OCA sources said all tickets were sold. The 45,000-seated stadium will fill up before the beginning of the match, OCA expected.

No cricket fans will be allowed to take mobile phones, laptop, video camera, cigarette, lighter, match box and fire crackers. However, they can take only water bottle and dry food, a release issued by OCA said.

The players will reach the stadium at 12 noon as the match is scheduled to begin from 1 pm. However, the audiences will be allowed to enter the galleries at 9 am, sources added.

Five places in the baliyatra ground on the bank of river Mahanadi have been spotted for parking lot. No vehicles will be allowed to ply between Mahanadi ring road and PHD square, police sources said.
