Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda has urged the Indian Embassy to follow up his request to rescue a harassed and tortured Odia youth in Kinshasa, the capital city of Congo in South Africa.

In a letter to SK Ashok Warrier, Indian Ambassador to Congo today, Panda said he has received a letter from Prafulla Kumar Bhuyan of Dhusuma village under Sarankul police station limits in Naygarh district that that his son Manas (37) that his son is being tortured by the employers of the GARS Associate, SPRL in Kinshasa where he presently works.

In his reminder, Panda has given the mobile number (+243-90098172) and Passport number (H7151372) of Manas so that he can be rescued at the earliest.

In his letter to the Kendrapara MP, Manas’ father had informed that his son was taken to Congo through an agent Sangram Keshari Dash of Inhand World Logicitek Pvt Ltd company in Mumbai promising him a monthly salary of Rs 40,000. Later, he took him to Mumbai from where he sent him to Congo.

He said though he was confirmed of the arrival of his son in Congo by the agent on December 18 last year, there is no phone calls from his son since then.

However, after some days, he received an anonymous phone call that his son was being tortured by company.
