Bhubaneswar: International Women’s Day was celebrated at Cherry Blossom Preschool, Bhubaneswar with the release of two anthologies of ‘Vasudha’ penned by Gayatri Mavaru. The books were released by American poet and scholar Danis Christopher Mair.

While Vasudha-1 is an enchanting chorus of the representative voices of Indian women, Vasudha-2 is a collection of voices of Indian poets- both of which are edited and curated by Gayatri Mavaru.

During the launch ceremony, Mair expressed his happiness of getting a chance to know the Indian Literature as it has a very strong value-based culture and heritage.

Along with Mair, Odia poets Namitarani Panda and Swapna Behera also graced the function held in the temple city.

The programme featured a poetry recitation session where nearly 50 poets presented their poems in different languages. Each poet was felicitated with a holy basil plant to spread the divine fragrance.
