Youth kills self

Berhampur: A 28-year-old youth, wanted by the police in different cases, allegedly fired at himself at Nuapalli in Ganjam district, about 50-km from here.

A country-made gun was seized from the house of Surya Pradhan whose body was recovered by the police today, police sources said.

Saraswati Pradhan, mother of the deceased reportedly told the police that his son might have committed suicide by firing at himself.

The sources said Surya was wanted in an attempt to murder case in Aska area.

He was also allegedly involved in Berhampur and train dacoity cases, police said. Surya was in Surat in Gujarat for last two months and returned to home on March 25.
