Workers Union gherao DFO office in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: More than 100 members of Baula Region Workers Union gheraoed office of District forest Officer (DFO) demanding the reopening of the Baula chromites mines operated by IMFA under Anandpur tahasil here on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, they asked the forest department to give clearance to the mines and cautioned to stage protest if the authority fails to fulfill their demands within 15 days.

When contacted, the city DFO Sangram Behera said the matter will be informed to the higher authorities and necessary measures will be taken to fulfill the demands of the agitating workers.
