Bhubaneswar: The Khurda district administration on Tuesday constituted a three-member team to find solution to waterlogging woes being reported from different parts of the capital city.

A decision in connection with this was taken at a meeting chaired by Khurda Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra.

“We have formed a three member committee comprising executive engineer from R&B, BMC and NHAI departments to find out the exact reasons leading to waterlogging at the NH-16 stretch particularly in front of the Iskcon temple. The team  will undertake spot visit and propose measures to control such situation,” Mishra stated.

Besides the NH-16 stretch in front of Iskcon temple, the team will also find solution to waterlogging in Rasulgarh, Jagmara, Baragada Brit Colony and Pahala .

Earlier, on Monday, Congress workers led by district unit president Manas Choudhury poured water inside the NHAI office in Bhubaneswar as a mark of protest against the lackadaisical attitude of highway authority in addressing the waterlogging woes.
