Earlier in the day, following last night’s unscrupulous activities by miscreants, the authorities had declared students’ union election cancelled for this year.

Keeping in view safety of the students and staff, the Staff Council meet decided to cancel the polls, added Hasan.

However, sources said the polls will be held as per the schedule in the junior college.

Notably, some miscreants hurled two bombs – one at the girls’ hostel and another at the boys’ hostel last night.
Sources said one girl student was injured in the incident.
