Bhubaneswar: Considering the problems in selection of colleges and adjustment of seats over quota — the appropriate mode of counselling has been demanded.

The State Government on Friday convened a meeting attended by members of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Committee and private engineering colleges.

In the meeting the centralised e-counselling was proposed to replace the web-based counselling which was in place last year. Chief Secretary BK Patnaik said it will take a decision on the nature of JEE process keeping an eye on the benefit of the students.

The Orissa Private Engineering Colleges’ Association (OPECA) suggested that the Government can go for the de-centralised e-counselling which can simultaneously be conducted in four to five centres.
