Sex video: Girl commits suicide

Salepur: Unable to bear public humiliation, a girl allegedly committed suicide after her lover circulated the video clips containing her intimate scenes in internet in Salepur area of Cuttack district.

The family members of the victim lodged an FIR against the spurned lover, Kamalakanta Malla, at Nemala police station alleging that he had have sexual relation with the girl many times and used to shot the scenes with his mobile phone. Later, he uploaded the clips on social networking sites.

Police started investigation after registering a case in this regard.

Similar cases occurred earlier in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Kamkhyanagar, Balasore had hit headlines many times. Recently, expressing anguish over the issues, the Supreme Court had summoned the Odisha chief secretary to appear personally.
