Seven arrested for kidnapping college student

K. Ganesh Reddy, a final year student of the Bachelor in Business Administration, was rescued by the police unharmed at Tamanaghati, near here, last Sunday, sub-divisional police officer, Balugaon, P K Routray said.

Routray said the vehicle used in the abduction of Reddy had been seized last week and that the driver of the vehicle was arrested yesterday. All the arrested belong to Berhampur, he said adding efforts were now on to arrest the masterminds of the abduction.

Ganesh, son of K.Mohan Rao, a builder of Martha Street here, was going to Salia Dam along with his other three friends when a group of miscreants abducted him at the gun point.
